What to expect
More practice, stronger opponents, committed teammates and coaches you can talk to. Here's how a Travelers year works.
There was no grand plan.
Looking back, it's hard to believe how far Travelers has come. It started with training a few players, a passion for the game, and families introducing us to other families. We kept taking the next step, and those relationships became a program.
The purpose has stayed the same: give players quality coaches who can mentor them, challenge them, and help them see what they can become.
We've watched players who once struggled to play catch earn a place on their high school varsity team. We've seen teams work through losing seasons and become championship teams. I'm proud of those moments because I know the years of work, setbacks and support behind them.
Our responsibility is to coach the player in front of us while preparing him for the player he can become. A weekend's results never tell the whole story.
To every family who has trusted us to coach your son, thank you. We take that trust seriously.

Program FAQ
When and where are practices?
Mostly Monday through Thursday evenings at Lake Highlands HS, Woodrow Wilson HS, Scotland Yard, the Village fields, other Dallas-area fields and Compete BP. Your coach confirms the schedule in SportsEngine.
What does the tournament schedule look like?
A minimum of four weekend events in the fall and eight in the spring, played around DFW. We play Perfect Game, Five Tool, NCS/E9 and PAC events. Your coach shares dates, locations, game times and arrival details.
How do we communicate with the team and coach?
SportsEngine is our main platform for schedules, attendance, practice changes and weather updates. Baseball questions start with your head coach. Schedules, uniforms, registration and operations go to team operations.
What is the 24-hour rule?
Questions about playing time, positions, batting order or roles aren't raised before, during or right after a game. Wait until the Monday after the event, then ask the head coach for a conversation.
How are positions, lineups and opportunities decided?
Coaches consider offensive consistency, getting on base, speed, game situations and team needs. Effort, attendance, preparation and focus also matter. A position or spot in the lineup does not define a player's value.
How do you approach pitching and arm health?
We prioritize long-term development and arm health by managing workloads on purpose. Players improve through bullpens, mechanical work and focused throwing sessions. Tell your coach about outside throwing and pitching.
What should families expect on game day?
Arrive at least 45 minutes before first pitch, dressed and ready to warm up. Bring water and snacks. The dugout is for players and coaches. Cheer from the stands and let coaches coach.
Do you encourage players to play multiple sports?
Yes. We want players to enjoy being athletes. Share other sports schedules with your coach early so we can plan together.
How do we order uniforms?
During registration you'll get an ordering link from TCA, our uniform provider, or use the Team Shop. A solid white helmet is the standard and Travelers decals are provided. Don't order a jersey number until it's confirmed.
What does the season fee include?
Head and assistant coach pay, scheduled tournament entries and league fees, insurance and sanctioning, practice field rentals, team equipment and coaching apparel, and scheduled team practices at Compete BP. Uniforms for new players, travel, World Series events and Compete BP memberships are separate.
How much is a season?
Spring 2027 fees run from about $2,300 for 8U to about $3,200 for 12U through 14U, depending on age group. You can pay in full or start with $475 at registration and pay the rest monthly, December through April. Your roster offer lists your exact fee.
