Teams & age groups

Find your team

Select baseball in Dallas for 8U through 14U, plus high school showcase teams for 15U–17U. We're looking for players who want to improve, work hard and be good teammates.

A spring season

February to mid-June.

Formats vary by age and level, and each head coach sets the team's calendar. These are our season planning targets.

  • 8U–9U: league plus 3–4 tournaments, or 7–8 tournament-only events.
  • 10U–14U: tournament-only, 8–10 events, most of them local.
  • 30–40 practices and 20–40 games, mostly Monday–Thursday evenings.
  • 11–12 players per roster.
  • When practical, we avoid Spring Break, Easter, Memorial Day weekend and three straight tournament weekends.

Evaluated every season

New and returning players

Everyone is evaluated season to season. Returning players are also evaluated in practices and games.

What coaches look for

Ability, development, positions, attitude, commitment and team needs. Not politics or promises.

Division first

Offers go out by division first, then players are placed on teams. Your offer lists the team, coach, fee and deadline.

Common questions

Teams FAQ

When is the right time to join select baseball?

8U and 9U are great ages to move from recreational baseball into select baseball, and players can also join later. The right time is when your player wants to learn, enjoys competing, and your family is ready for the commitment.

How big are rosters?

Typically 11 to 12 players, depending on team needs.

Do teams travel?

Most events are in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Extra travel tournaments and World Series events are optional team-level decisions.

Which tournament circuits do you play?

Teams play Perfect Game, Five Tool, NCS/E9 and PAC events. Each head coach builds a schedule suited to the team's level.

Can a whole team join Travelers?

Yes. If your team is looking for coaching support, practice resources and a community to grow with, contact team operations to talk about the fit.
